Being Proud As A Solopreneur... It's Different.
What does it really mean to be "proud" of a business?
There are so many different facets to any business, even a one-person business. So what might we mean when we say we are "proud" of our business?
There are a number of different aspects we could be proud of.
Achievements can make us proud. For example, we created our 100th podcast episode (see below).
Making the business successful. That point where the business becomes profitable is huge.
Closing the dream client is amazing and always a source of pride.
Supplying a product or service that makes people’s lives better.
You get it...
But all of these things are true for ANY type of business.
Solopreneurs are different. So we can find pride in our business differently. For example, creating a business that lets you:
Spend weekends with your family.
See all your kids’ games.
Focus only on the work you love.
Have time to pursue your passions.
Live wherever you want.
Grow your skills in the direction you want to grow.
Try new business ideas when you want to.
And so on…
These are things that traditional businesses can view as negatives. And yet, as solopreneurs, we pursue these kinds of goals. And we are proud when we achieve them.
Yes, solopreneurs are different. And because of that, our sources of pride are also different.
