Creating Message Subjects
That email... you know, that email someone sends you and you realize the subject heading was 'borrowed' from another email... you open it up and find that it has nothing to do with the message they are sending you?
LifeStarr gives you the ability to create Message Subjects. By creating specific subjects, you can stay organized and streamline all communications. Using proper subjects will also help you find information later much quicker!
To create a New Subject heading for a message:
- Locate and open the task you want to message about.
- Click the Messages tab in the middle of the task detail screen.
- If this is your first message in this task, click on the teal New Subject button and skip to step # 8 below.
- If this is not the first message in this task, you will see your messages listed with four columns titled: Subject, Message, Group and Date.
- Subject tells you quickly what the message is about
- Message shows the first few words of the message
- Group shows you who the message was sent to
- Date shows the date the message was sent
- Look at the listing carefully and decide if your message subject falls under a subject that is already there or if you need to create a new one.
- If you decide to continue with a current message subject, click on the message and type your message in the Add a Message box and click Send.
- If you decide to create a new subject, click the teal New Subject button.
- A message box will open.
- Type a new subject name, taking care to not name it similar to the other subjects or the recipients may get confused.
- Decide who to send the message to.
- Type your message and click Save.
