Tell me a story...
I did something last Friday that was totally awesome!
I’d been waiting a long time for it.
And we finally made it happen.
But bear with me.
The topic of this newsletter is Storytelling. I’ve long been convinced of the power of storytelling. It’s how we conveyed knowledge and information before we had writing. It’s deeply rooted in human nature to engage with stories, to remember stories, and to seek them out.
Explaining whatever you need to explain using story will almost guarantee higher engagement. So, as a service to all the solopreneurs out there, we have a whole bunch of content on stories and storytelling.
Enjoy!
Wait… why are you still here?
Oh, you’re wondering what happened last Friday.
That’s called an open loop. And it’s an old storytelling technique to engage a reader.
It is powerful but needs to be used judiciously, or it can become clickbaity, as you will learn from the Jay Acunzo podcast below.
So, what happened on Friday is that I got to interview Jay Acunzo!
Jay is a leading authority on meaningful content creation and storytelling, I've been a fan for a long time but never gotten to know him personally until recently.
Listening to Jay speak is a masterclass on high-quality content creation. Do not miss it.
Then to just knock it out of the park, we have Sarah Sypniewski, a highly successful writer who’s done a lot of writing for the “Dummies” series of books. She brings excellent perspectives on writing effectively and persuasively.
This content is a goldmine for you to up your game. Take advantage.
Solo Together,
Joe
