You know that weirdly satisfying feeling when your to-do list is packed, your inbox is overflowing, and you’re bouncing between tasks like a pinball? It feels like you’re crushing it…until you realize you spent the whole day doing everything except the thing that would actually grow your business.

Here’s the truth solopreneurs don’t hear enough: Being busy is a pace. Being productive is a choice.

  • Being busy keeps you reacting. Being productive moves you forward.
  • Being busy fills your time. Being productive fills your pipeline.
  • Being busy is comforting. Being productive is a little uncomfortable, and that’s why it works.

This newsletter is your reminder (and gentle nudge) to stop measuring your success by how exhausted you are at the end of the day. Instead, measure it by the courageous, high-impact actions that make future-you proud.

Let’s break the busy cycle and build some real momentum.

🔎  Lead Gen

Reverse social proof content. Once a month, post:“3 Things My Clients Tried That Didn’t Work (and Why I Don’t Recommend Them).” People stop scrolling because they don’t expect honesty and vulnerability in marketing. It positions you as trustworthy and authoritative.

💰 Sales

Run a “Decision Sprint” instead of a follow-up email. After a call, record a 2-minute Loom walking them through ONLY these three things:

  • The goal they want
  • The exact path you’d take them through
  • The first win they’d get in the first 7 days

This dramatically increases conversions because you’re creating tangible momentum before they’ve even bought.

🛠️ Productivity

Set up a “10-Minute Mental RAM Dump” twice a week. Not a normal brain dump…this one has rules:

  • Open a doc
  • Set a 10-minute timer
  • Write ONLY tasks that would take <15 minutes. These tiny tasks often clog your mental RAM. Once written, schedule them in a single weekly “tiny tasks power hour” so they stop slowing down bigger work.

New in Central (1)

We had a lot of new members join Central this week and have had great intros, discussions, and the occasional dog pic! So awesome to see relationships form and questions being answered. Be sure to log in to your Central account (or create one), and join in!

🚀 App Update
Every week, we’re polishing the tools you’ll rely on to keep your solo business running smoothly. Here’s a quick, friendly peek at what the team’s been tackling.

Smoother Email Connections
Josh has been heads-down making sure your email plays nicely with the system. In non-developer terms: we’re working to ensure we have a smooth connection to your email provider so you don’t get stuck troubleshooting instead of getting work done.

Email & Account Management Improvements
Pedro has been tightening things up so your account “just works.”
Here’s what changed:

  • Linking a new email no longer creates random duplicate accounts
  • Email addresses now sync in a consistent format (which avoids weird mismatches)
  • No more 24-hour wait for email-related changes
  • Better rate limiting for a more stable overall email experience
Profile & Settings Fixes
A few things had gotten a little grumpy behind the scenes. Now they’re back on track:
  • Your profile page loads correctly again
  • You can update your phone number without errors
  • Timezones behave like they’re supposed to (finally!)
Task Management Stability
Some task features weren’t loading the way they should. We jumped on it:
  • Tasks now load properly and consistently
  • Several broken features are up and running again
  • Task lists handle incomplete data without falling apart
  • Extra error protection keeps things stable when viewing or switching tasks
Overall App Stability
Lots of unglamorous—but important—clean-up work:
  • Stronger error handling to prevent crashes
  • Better form validation (so bad data doesn’t break things)
  • More graceful handling of edge cases
